HEADBAND

The pattern is in US terms.

The pattern:

Start with any amount of chains required to achieve the circumference needed.

For an adult woman size, with measurements and yarn/hook combination (above), chain 65 + 1.

1st row:  slip stitch in second chain from the hook, ss in every st to the end, ch1 and turn; (65 slip stitches) – forming a ‘V’.

2nd row:  In back loop of all the stitches across this row, hdcss; ch1 and turn.

Continue with row 2 until your work measures 2cm, 20-21″.

Leaving a long tail to sew the ends together, cut the yarn.

folding the knot

  • With the wrong side of your piece facing you, fold both ends in half.
  • Think of the one end in your left hand as a “C” and a flipped “C” in your right.
  • Insert the flipped “C” into the “C”, to form a layer.
  • Layer = bottom “C”, bottom flipped “C”, top “C” and then top flipped “C”.
  • Sew through all the layers and secure your end.
  • Weave in remaining ends.
