HOW TO CROCHET THE BODY OF MINNIE MOUSE
- Make a slip knot and ch 2 (don’t pull the knot to the hook otherwise all the stitches won’t fit in)
- In the second chain from the hook, work 2sc, 2hdc and 8dc
- Pull the yarn tail to close.
- You can close the round by making a ss into the first dc or alternatively:
Work 2 sc into the first of the 2 sc’s you started with (mark the first st with a st marker) or
If you are anything like me, you will just eyeball it!
NOTE:
I tested both options and preferred the latter (not to close the rounds) as it produced a neater finish.
5. Second round – (after you closed the previous round with 2sc into the first dc…of the previous round)
Work 2sc into each of the remaining stitches and close the round or
Remove the marker and work 2sc into the first sc of the previous round (replacing the marker into the first st).
6. Third round – *1sc into the next st and 2sc into the following st. Continue alternating the 1sc and 2sc until you reach the marker or to the end.
Close your round or remove the marker and work 2sc into the first sc of the previous round (replacing the marker into the first st).**
7. Forth round – ***work one sc into the next st and continue in this way until you reach the marker or to the end.
