Free Baby Crochet Blanket Pattern:
I only used two colours and the number of stitches (chains) to start with, should be in multiples of 15.
I changed colours after row 3 repeats.
The width of my blanket is 22.5″.
With Apricot, chain 120.
Row 1: Sc in second st from hook and in each of remaining stitches, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip 2 chains, 4 dc in next stitch. *Skip one sc, dc in next sc, repeat 6 times, skip one sc, 6 dc in next two sc’s** Repeat * to ** 6 times, skip one sc, dc in next sc, repeat 6 times, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in second dc and each dc across (119 sc’s), turn.
Row 4 and rest of the rows: Repeat Rows 2 and 3
Finish off and weave in the ends.
You can crochet sc’s around the edges to neaten your product off. Be modern and add some tassels at the corners.
Here is how I crocheted my rows:
Apricot – 12 rows
Lime – 2 rows
Apricot – 2 rows
Lime – 2 rows
Apricot – 2 rows
Lime – 2 rows
Apricot – 12 rows
Lime – 2 rows
Repeat all the above rows x 4, ending with the Apricot again.
(My apricot yarn was a 4-ply yarn (because of lack of stock in our little store, so all I did was to use 2 strings of yarn instead.)
Happy Crocheting!
