Knit Moss Stitch Diamonds, a knit-purl knitting stitch
The knit moss stitch diamonds are diamond moss stitch outlines with garter and stocking stitch panes filling the inner parts.
It’s an easy knit-purl stitch with a lovely texture. The moss stitch diamond pattern is reversible, which makes it suitable for blankets and scarves.
What exactly are knit and purl patterns?
It means that there are no funny abbreviations for unusual techniques but purely combinations of the two basic knitting stitches.

EXPLANATORY NOTES
**Second row and all WS rows – knit the knit stitches and purl the purls (where you need a stockinette-type stitch), so what it really means is that:
- Stockinette stitch – knit the RS and purl the WS;
- If you face the first row on the WS – your first 5 sts have bumps (purl) and the next 5 are knit sts, and that is exactly what it means to knit the knit and purl the purl sts.
