Pattern details of the embossed blocks knit stitch pattern are:

  • an easy knit-purl stitch pattern to add to your stitch library.
  • reversible, allowing you to use either the right side or the wrong side although the sides differ.
  • it is versatile for various knit projects, whether you’re creating scarves, blankets, cushions, or cowls for both men and women.

Construction:

The embossed blocks knit pattern forms distinct blocks of stockinette stitch. Each block is framed by garter stitch at the top and bottom. On the right side, purl stitches create horizontal columns, adding additional texture.

  • Double Knit (Yarn weight: Light / Worsted) Elle Yarn or yarn of your choice

WRITTEN PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

US terms

Cast on number of stitches required for your project in multiples of 6 sts +2.

1st Row (Right Side):  *k2, p4; repeat from * across, ending with k2.

2nd Row and all wrong side rows:  knit the knit stitches and purl the purl sts to the end of row.

3rd Row:  *p2, k4; rep from * across, ending with p2.

5th Row:  as row 3.

7th row:   as row 3.

Row 8:  as row 2.

Repeat Rows 1 to 8 for the pattern and desired length.
