How to Knit Network Reversible Knitting Stitch Pattern
Pattern details of the Reversible Network Knit Stitch Pattern are:
- an openwork knit stitch pattern to add to your stitch library, in other words, it is kind of lacey.
- reversible, allowing you to use either the right side or the wrong side.
- it is ideal for any summer knits, knitted in cotton yarn.
- worked in multiples of four stitches, over 3 row repeats.
- The pattern neatens the sides of the fabric with a two-stitched edge.
Construction:
The Network knit stitch forms distinct spaced holes with a chunky texture. Try to keep your tension fairly loose.

SPECIAL STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES
- Yarn overs and yrn – learn more in Openwork or Lace knitting, in the Wheatear Stitch Pattern post or watch the video tutorial below.
- KPK in the yrn of the previous row – see photo tutorial below.
- If you are struggling with knitting all 4 purl stitches together, transfer each of the four stitches to the RN (right needle) whilst ‘stretching’ it a bit, then transferring it back to the LN (left needle). This will loosen the stitches more.
