How to Knit Twisted Stocking Stitch
The Twisted Stocking knit stitch pattern creates vertical columns with a left-slanting dash in the first loop of each stitch and a right-slanting (less prominent) dash to the right in the loop above.
The dashes create a vertical zig-zag pattern.
Characteristics of the Twisted Stocking Knit Stitch Pattern are:
- a solid and not-so-stretchy knit stitch pattern to add to your stitch library.
- this knit stitch pattern is not reversible and the front of the work is the right side of the work or pattern.
- the wrong side of the fabric, almost has a broken garter stitch look.
- your knitting won’t curl as is the case with a stocking stitch pattern.
