What is the real meaning of the cross?

Between bunnies, lambs, easter eggs and wreaths, do you also sometimes wonder what is the real meaning of the cross?

Maybe, you are spiritual but not religious, religious but not really into the body of Christ, an atheist or not interested in anything Jesus-freaks proclaim to be the One Life.

Truth is, nobody can convince you to love God.

It is your decision.

I want you to take few truths from this post and the first is:

Jesus is real

His trial

His conviction and

His Crucifixion but most importantly,

His resurrection,

He is alive.

If you Google the 'real meaning of the Cross', the following result will appear:

"cross, the principal symbol of the Christian religion, recalling the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death. The cross is thus a sign both of Christ himself and of the faith of Christians."

In essence, the Cross means:

  1. That Jesus died for our sins, but also
  2. Because He lives, you and I can face tomorrow.
  3. It means that GOD's promises are true and
  4. Evil, sin, suffering and pain can be overcome.
  5. You can cast all your burdens on Him and
  6. Live a life of freedom in His power.
  7. And when He comes again, that He will take us to live with Him forever.

Often the Holy Spirit will gently start a fire in your heart, sometimes a flame, a torch or a huge wildfire.

Once He has entered your mind, body and soul, there is no turning back.  He will always be part of your life - that is the part where it is written "He will never leave you or forsake you".

There is a but...

He knocks at the door of your heart and if you do not open He'll wait, try again, and sometimes He'll leave...
