Ready to sew for a special little girl? Then the selection of the cutest free summer dress patterns found all over the internet, is just what you need for inspiration!
Patterns were chosen with the following in mind:
- Do-ability (can I make it?)
- Availability (of the pattern) and
- Aha-ability (a vision of how my little cutie will look dressed in it!)

Often, the difference between someone who creates and someone who adores creative people, is ... one step
... to creating it yourself!

Jessica, the blogger behind Me Sew Crazy, did not include a pattern with this post.
No, she used a ready to wear (or worn-everyday) dress with sleeves, as the pattern.
Yes, it is so easy!
The heart is fitting for a Valentine's day dress-up;
or
why not sew the heart in such a manner that it can serve as a pocket?!

Have you heard of a Freebook? It is the German term for an E-book.
Do yourself a favor and visit this site - you will not believe that all the dresses were made by using the same pattern.
The freebook is 38 pages 'thick' and there are more than enough pictures not to get lost in translation!

This is a fun and light dress that will turn your little darling into a fairy, ballerina or Greek goddess!
It can be worn in different ways and throughout all seasons!
Make it in less than 2 hours - go try it!

The free and easy Rainbow summer dress pattern will make any princess happy!
Happy - because it's comfortable, soft, loose-fitting and colorful!
I personally have not attempted shirring before, but I guess it is basically stitching with elastic in the bobbin - am I right?
Definitely worth the effort!
Do you have a brand-spanking new stretchy t-shirt that does not fit you anymore?
Don't feel too guilty, you can use it to make the lovely braided collared dress and save money?!
This is one of my favorite ideas and the little model needs a big kiss!
Can you believe how creative this blogger is?
She liked a dress available at Anthropologie and decided to redesign it for her Sadie (with a few changes)!
One thing is for sure, if you make this dress, no one will suspect that it is homemade.

Another challenge to create your own pattern from a dress that fits perfectly.
Read the tutorial thorougly (translate first as the site is Dutch) and then 'copy and paste' on your own paper and fabric.
If the idea of the bias binding scares you, you can always serge the edges and just turn the fabric in and stitch a small seam.
